A prolific writer and editor, Sheilah is the food editor of Popular Anthropology, and Maryland’s Town Courier, and a contributing food editor to numerous magazines and papers, including Vegetarian Times, Eating Well, The Washington Post, and The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles.
Sheilah is a partner with Paula Jacobson in Cookbook Construction Crew, a company dedicated to mentoring cookbook authors and food writers. Sheilah and Paula edit the recipes and text, test the recipes, proofread, index the recipes and text, and help find publishers, agents, and develop strategies to market the books and articles.
